The Story of Malik McKoy, Founder of TrapStar Junk Removal LLC

Malik McKoy began his entrepreneurial journey by owning and operating a successful tire shop and towing business. After several years in the industry, Malik decided to sell that business and pursue a new venture. This decision was inspired by a conversation with his then 14-year-old son, Adante, who suggested they start a junk removal business together. Malik agreed, encouraging Adante to come up with a name for their new venture, thus beginning their journey into the junk removal industry.

For two years, Malik and Adante worked hard to build their business and establish a name for themselves in the community. However, due to the resemblance to another company's name, Malik was forced to change the name of their business. Undeterred by this challenge, the father-son duo saw it as an opportunity to rebrand and continue their upward trajectory.

Thus, TrapStar Junk Removal LLC was born. To Malik and Adante, the name "TrapStar" symbolized the underdog, the person no one expects to win but who overcomes all odds. A TrapStar is the father who wakes up before dawn, leaves his home while his family sleeps, and works tirelessly to provide for them. It’s the single mother juggling multiple jobs to ensure a bright future for her children.
